A handmade card created for Paper Smooches by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Ta-da!

So I actually used a few new Paper Smooches products on this bad boy.

Cut those white words with the new Happy Birthday 2 dies. Stamped the “ewe” word with  the new Courteous Cuties 2 stamp. And those cute little sheep? Yep. Stamped those with the new Courteous Cuties stamp set (and coordinating dies). Fun stuff!

I went a bit hog wild, creating the little scene with hills cut with the Borders 1 dies and hearts with the Hearts dies. I also added some white dots with Nuvo’s Gloss White Crystal Drops. Turned out pretty fun.

Alright! That’s what I have. Thanks, as always, for swinging by, guys. You are awesome.

See “ewe” again real soon!

Christmas Card Challenge 2016: 5

Hi guys!

Back again with another take on this year’s Christmas Card Challenge with Ashley.

This is today’s card.

blog-snow-cool-penguins-christmas-card-teri

I once again used pulled out a Lawn Fawn stamp set. I used just one this time. That was the Snow Cool stamp set (and coordinating dies). I couldn’t resist adding bow ties to the penguins. I mean, it just gives them a little extra special character. You agree?

To make the hills seem a little more icy, I once again whipped out some glitter glue and put it along the slopes.

Alright. This is all I have for today. Be sure to bop on by Ashley’s blog to see her latest take on the challenge.

Christmas Card Challenge: 4

Hi guys!

Another day. Another crack at this year’s Christmas Card Challenge with Ashley!

Just continued having some stamp-tastic fun by making this card.

A handmade Christmas card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

I went Lawn Fawn stamp crazy… or cray cray, as some would say. 😉  I used all these stamp sets: Winter Alpaca; Happy Trails; Toboggan Together and Snow Cool. I also used the coordinating dies for all them, other than Snow Cool. Just used the sentiment and snowy pattern (at the top of the card) for that one.

The little hills in the background were cut with a die from My Favorite Things.

To make the snow pop, I once again whipped out some Nuvo Crystal Drops and added a few few dots to the snow. I think like how it just added a little bit of texture, as well as a bit of dimension too. Kinda fun!

Alright, so this is day 4 of the challenge.

Be sure to hit Ashley’s blog to see her take on this time. I’ll be back again Monday with another card based on the challenge.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by. I appreciate your kind words.

Christmas Card Challenge 2016: 3

Hi guys!

I’m back again with another take on this year’s Christmas Card Challenge with my pal, Ashley.

This is card for today.

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

I wanted to be clean and graphic today so I whipped out the Very Merry stamp set from Neat and Tangled. It’s got some great words to pair together. I played it simple by going with a basic Christmas greeting.

To give the card just a little bit of glitz, I added some glitter gold washi tape and a couple gold sequins. So easy but totally effective in getting the card done.

So that’s what I have for you today. Be sure to stop by Ashley’s blog to see her take on challenge today. I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

See you again soon, friends.

Christmas Card Challenge 2016: 2

Hi guys!

Another day. Another take on my Christmas Card Challenge with Ashley.

Here is today’s Christmas card.

A handmade card created by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Just had some fun with this one. Shopped my stamping stash and pulled out some awesome Lawn Fawn stamp sets and dies: Happy Trails; Toboggan Together and Snow Cool. One of things I dig quite a lot about Lawn Fawn is it’s so easy to mix and match their products together. I’m pretty sure all these things are from different releases. Kinda fun that they can all play together.

So I was going for a little snowy scene here. To make that stamped snowy background pop a little more, I added some dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops. I think it just gives the background a nice feel.

Also to make the scene a little more magical, I added some glitter glue to the top of the snowdrifts. Such an easy thing to do. Just required a little extra patience to give the glue time to dry.

Ok. That’s what I have today. Be sure to check out Ashley’s blog to see her latest take on the challenge.

Christmas Card Challenge 2016

Hi guys!

It’s Challenge time again. My friend, Ashley, and I are kicking off our annual Christmas Card Challenge!

What is it, you ask? Simple. We are trying to push each other make some cards and so here we are.

This is my first card in honor of this year’s challenge. 🙂

A handmade Christmas card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

The mouse and words are from the Unity’s Merry, Moe & Joe stamp set. It is one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets out there this year. Just. So. Cute. And different. I like different than the same old.

Cut the rectangle and half circle elements with the Blueprints 21 Die-namics from My Favorite Things. The Blueprint dies remain some of my fave because you get a lot of practical, useful dies in each set. Go, MFT!

You might be wondering about the white snowy stuff. I created those little dots with some of Nuvo Crystal Dots. A repetitive process and yet an easy peasy process.

Overall, I got to admit: This card feels a little bit like a hot mess. I mean, there’s a lot going on for a “normal Teri” card but it’s OK. Sometimes, it’s more about having fun than being perfect-o. Actually, a lot the times it is. 🙂

Alright. That’s what I have. Be back again later, gators. And stop by Ashley’s blog to see her take on today’s challenge.

snowflakes card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Made this guy with Technique Tuesday’s Snowflakes and Sparkle and Shine dies, as well as the Marquee Label die and Planner – December Story stamp set.

I was going for kinda of a chalkboard look so I adhered the snowflakes on black cardstock and then used my finger to rub (liberally) some white ink all over them. Then I added an enamel dot the middle of each snowflake.
