Today’s card (3-31)

Hi all!

Another day. Another card.

Meet today’s card.

This is one of those “I am just in the mood to play” cards. 🙂

The dragonfly, owl and log are from Lawn Fawn’s Critters in the Forest set. I drew the owl’s bow myself on patterned paper with black pen. I finished it off with the brad in the middle.

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Friend set.

The paper is a journaling card from Crate Paper. It made for a nice setting, I think.

Nothing more to say so that’s all for now. Be back again later.

Thanks for swinging by. 🙂

Technique Tuesday Studio AE sneak peek

Hi all!

Just thought I’d share a quick peek of the April Studio AE stamp set from Technique Tuesday. 😉

Meet the peek.

This is the cover of a mini book I made with the new set. The words are from the set. The flowers are from the Petite Posies set, which is rapidly becoming one of my “always-grabbing-for” stamp sets.

The April Studio AE set will be revealed on the Technique Tuesday Web site on the 1st.  You can find out more about Studio AE, which features stamps by Ali Edwards, at http://www.techniquetuesday.com/category/Studio-AE-Membership.html.

The new set is called, “It’s in the Details.” It consists of 13 stamps on a 4″ x 6″ clear sheet.

Stay tuned for the 1st when I will share a project I made with the set.

Today’s card (3-30)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

Just having a bit of fun with this one.

The tomatoes are a stamp from Paper Smooches’ Vegtastic set. The ketchup words are from the same set. The Miss You part is from the new, coming soon Sentiment Sampler stamp set. Thought they worked well together.

The patterned papers are from Echo Park. Can’t seem to get enough of that stuff right now. Good stuff. 🙂

That’s all for now. Be back again soon.

Zva Creative March DT Blog Hop!

 Hi all!

It’s a blog hop kind of day!

Zva Creative and the Design Team welcomes you to join us this month for a blog hop that we feel is always extra special! There is now an added twist to our blog hops, YAY! As you know, Zva offers so many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project.

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes’ blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on FIVE of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package …YAY! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it’s important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, March 28th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, March 29th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 30th on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog as well (linked above). We will do our best to notify each winner, but it’s best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday…plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post…you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer’s blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Enough deets. Let’s talk project.

Meet today’s card. 😉

I was asked to use purple or lavendar this time.

So I used a flourish from Zva. The flourish here is actually from a larger design that includes a butterfly. I cut away the butterfly part of the design and just used the flourish part.

I also added a few pearls, which are also from Zva.

Your next stop on the hop is the blog of the talented and all-around good egg: Windy Robinson! Take it away, Windy!

Thank you SO MUCH for joining us for stopping by my blog today.

Three NEW clear stamp sets will be available to purchase at 12:01am (mountain time) on April 1st, and we’ve all got projects today to show them off.

To add extra fun to our blog hop…we are offering up a prize!  Just leave a comment on any of the five design team blogs listed below for your chance to win one of the three new April stamp sets!  (you do not need to comment on all blogs to qualify)  You have until midnight MT on Sunday, March 27th to leave a comment.  Please check all five blogs on Monday, March 28 to see if you are one of the five lucky winners.

Enough blog hop talk. Let’s get to the project!

    Meet today’s card. 🙂

I used the new Sentiment Sampler stamp set on this one. Every single word was stamped with the set.  This is a great stamp set for card fans. That’s because… cough… cough… the set has a total of… cough… cough…. 15 sentiments for cards….. cough… cough… cough…. with it. Gosh, that dang cough gets me every time. 😉

The flower is from Paper Smooches’ Spiffy Scooters set.

The tickets here were punched with a punch from EK Success. The paper is from BasicGrey.

That’s all for now. Be back again soon.

    Thanks for swinging by.

    Today’s card (3-22)

    Hi all!

    Meet today’s card.

This is one I made a few weeks ago and never got around to posting.

The dress started out as a swimsuit from the one-piece swimsuit from Lawn Fawn’s Swimsuit Season stamp set. The red stuff is crepe paper. 🙂

The sentiment here is also from Lawn Fawn. It comes from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Friend set.

Everything else here is from the old stash-a-roo!

Thanks for taking a peek. Be back again soon!

    GCD Studios CHA projects

    Hi everyone!

I’m on the GCD Studios blog today, sharing some projects I made for the Winter CHA show. So, yep, I am sharing them here, too.

This one uses the Animal Crackers – Boy collection.

The blue monkey is cut from lace piece of paper included in the collection’s paper stack.

This one is was also made with the Animal Crackers – Boy collection. I embellished the design here by cutting out some of pieces of patterned paper to fit in the inside. I also used the ChipArt tool to add some debossing to the foam letter stickers.

I made this one with the Funhouse collection. I just love this collection. It’s just so fun!

I made the banner myself by mixing string with a number of different patterned papers.

These next two use the Material Girl collection.

This one uses The Great Outdoors collection. One of the hidden treasures of this collection is several of the papers have graph paper prints on the backsides. It makes them much more useful.

I used the Soul Food collection for this one.

I fussy cut the woman from a piece of paper in the collection and used foam tape to make her pop up off the card. The tile is a piece of chipboard I debossed the letters on with the ChipArt tool.

Finally, here’s a mini book I made with the ChipArt tool and Soul Food collection.

That’s all for now. Be back again soon.

PS… I almost forgot. GCD has a couple contests going on, including one where you can win a win a trip to Melody Ross’ Brave Girls Camp. Go here for contest info.

    Today’s card (3-19)

    Howdy!

    Meet today’s card.

I had these ticket punches left over from another project I was working on so I decided to make a card.

The sentiment is a stamp from Technique Tuesday’s Sweet Somethings set. I also stamped just part of one of the frames from that set on the large woodgrain ticket.

The woodgrain, flower and yellow papers are from Crate Paper. The ledger stuff is some “vintage” Scenic Route that I found in my scrap box.

That’s all for now. Be back later.

    Thanks for stopping by.
