Hi, everyone!
Dropping by today to share a card created with one of Paper Smooches’ new crafting dies. I’m just so excited to send this card to one of my stamping friends.
The flowers were created with the new Stemmed Rose Dies. Rather than doing a bunch of paper piecing and all, I cut them from white cardstock and then used my markers to add a little color to them. It is kind of a tedious task with thin, intricate dies, but I think the results are almost always stunning.
Now, this card has a fun little twist. The die set comes with a mat die. Rather than matting the flowers onto mats, I used the mat die to cut a window out out of the front of the card. I placed one of the flowers inside the card, right so you could see it through the window.
One thing I did on the front of the card, to make the flowers stand out on it, was I opened it and sponging a little blue ink onto it. I did it softly, over and over in a circle. I also added a sentiment (perfect for my stamping friend) from the Fun & Flirty stamp set.
To finish things off, I added couple sequins. They are always a nice, fairly flat, way of finishing a card.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back again later, gators.
PS. Don’t miss this post I shared over the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog recently! It shows a fun way to use foil to make a wedding card!
