Decorated planner pages for Paper Smooches by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Planner pages! Yes, I know. No cards today. Planner pages. I’m a planner girl. I sure appreciate some good planner stamps, and Paper Smooches has three awesome sets that are super duper great for planners in their September release.

All the stamping here was completed with these sets: Daily Diary (the words) and Dinky Doodles 1 and Dinky Doodles 2 (the super cute teeny tiny images).

The planner I used for here is the mini Happy Planner. I dig it because (1) it’s small, (2) the pages come out so it makes for easy stamping and (3) it fits in a small bag.

I simply just had fun with these pages, stamping out my plans and then adding some color with markers and some words with a good old black pen.

The thing I love about planning is this: It’s  creativity with a purpose. Stamping and playing… with the end goal of being organized. It’s fun. Plus, it makes the idea of paying bills fun… even though we all know it really isn’t. Wink! 😉

Alright! That’s all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you enjoy the hop!

Today’s card (8-23)

Hi guys!

Just beboppin’ by quickly with a little something to share. Just one little card I put together the other day while messing around.

Hello-From-The-Herd-Card-Teri

The cute animals and herd words are from a stamp set from Your Next Stamp. Picked it up the other day during a super awesome Eclipse day sale at the local craft store. I could not the resist the cuteness and just knew me, the “not-an-expert” coloring kinda of girl, had to get them to color them in. And so I did! They looked fun!

I colored the animals in with markers. I gave the cow and pig a little extra detail with the help of some Nuvo drops by adding a little bit to their noses. I also used some old metallic rub-ons (Hmmmm…. can you even find those anymore?) to add some light pink details to the pig and sheep’s cheeks. Look close and you’ll see there’s also white dots too. Made those with a white pen.

Hello from the Herd handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

Created the sentiment by combining a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh with one from the Your Next Stamp stamp set.

I think this card turned out pretty cute! I’m definitely going to be sending this card to one of my crafting buddies pretty darn soon.

Alright! Be back tomorrow for the monthly Paper Smooches blog hop. Hope to see you then!

Neat and Tangled Blog Hop

5THbirthdaybloghop-01

Hi gang!

Super thrilled to be joining some of my most favorite’st folks in celebrating Neat and Tangled’s 5th birthday with a blog hop this week!

If you’ve been hopping along, you should have arrived here from the blog of Ellen Hutson, featuring the awesome work of Carissa Wiley. If you are just joining in, welcome! (You’ll find the next stop at the bottom of my post!)

In honor of the 5th birthday of Neat and Tangled, Danielle has put together a week long blog hop with different hoppers each day. Also, Neat and Tangledare also having a release of the special products used during the hop. They are available now in the Neat and Tangled shop.

I’m super thrilled to share three projects with you today!

On your mark. Get set. Go!

Up first is this fancy number!

Ta-da! Created this guy with the new Hooray Word dies, Hooray stamp set and Like Magic sequin mix.  Pretty straight forward to figure what’s going on with this one! Wink!

And here’s card No. 2 and card No. 3.

Both of these cards use the new Hooray Word dies and Like Magic sequin mix.

I created the starry background for both cards (as well as that first one) with one of my favorite N&T dies from the past, the Seeing Stars die. I simply cut the stars from white cardstock, adhered them to the card front and then sponged on some ink!

I embellished the Hooray words on each card by adding some adorable birthday critters from the new Wild Ones stamp set. I also used the coordinating dies. (Now lean in real close, friends. Confession time. I must admit that I cut and stamped far more critters than I used on these cards. I have a whole pile of them sitting on my desk, waiting to be colored in and used on even more projects. They are just so much fun! So yeah, you’ll be seeing them on other projects soon! Heehee!)

Oh yeah! And those additional stamped words on cards No. 2 and No. 3? You might be wondering about that! They are from the Wild Ones stamp set!

Alright, kids! That is what I have you!

Next stop on the hop is the blog of the awesome Lisa Spangler. I can’t wait to see Lisa’s lovely work! Take it away, Lisa!

By the way, be sure to check out the entire blog hop! You’ll find each day’s stops on the Neat and Tangled blog. (Be sure to stop by on Friday too!)

There are prizes up for grabs – one $100 gift certificate to the Neat and Tangled shop and two $50 gift certificate to the Neat and Tangled shop. Winners will be chosen from comments left all along the hop all week long.
