Neat and Tangled Blog Hop

5THbirthdaybloghop-01

Hi gang!

Super thrilled to be joining some of my most favorite’st folks in celebrating Neat and Tangled’s 5th birthday with a blog hop this week!

If you’ve been hopping along, you should have arrived here from the blog of Ellen Hutson, featuring the awesome work of Carissa Wiley. If you are just joining in, welcome! (You’ll find the next stop at the bottom of my post!)

In honor of the 5th birthday of Neat and Tangled, Danielle has put together a week long blog hop with different hoppers each day. Also, Neat and Tangledare also having a release of the special products used during the hop. They are available now in the Neat and Tangled shop.

I’m super thrilled to share three projects with you today!

On your mark. Get set. Go!

Up first is this fancy number!

Ta-da! Created this guy with the new Hooray Word dies, Hooray stamp set and Like Magic sequin mix.  Pretty straight forward to figure what’s going on with this one! Wink!

And here’s card No. 2 and card No. 3.

Both of these cards use the new Hooray Word dies and Like Magic sequin mix.

I created the starry background for both cards (as well as that first one) with one of my favorite N&T dies from the past, the Seeing Stars die. I simply cut the stars from white cardstock, adhered them to the card front and then sponged on some ink!

I embellished the Hooray words on each card by adding some adorable birthday critters from the new Wild Ones stamp set. I also used the coordinating dies. (Now lean in real close, friends. Confession time. I must admit that I cut and stamped far more critters than I used on these cards. I have a whole pile of them sitting on my desk, waiting to be colored in and used on even more projects. They are just so much fun! So yeah, you’ll be seeing them on other projects soon! Heehee!)

Oh yeah! And those additional stamped words on cards No. 2 and No. 3? You might be wondering about that! They are from the Wild Ones stamp set!

Alright, kids! That is what I have you!

Next stop on the hop is the blog of the awesome Lisa Spangler. I can’t wait to see Lisa’s lovely work! Take it away, Lisa!

By the way, be sure to check out the entire blog hop! You’ll find each day’s stops on the Neat and Tangled blog. (Be sure to stop by on Friday too!)

There are prizes up for grabs – one $100 gift certificate to the Neat and Tangled shop and two $50 gift certificate to the Neat and Tangled shop. Winners will be chosen from comments left all along the hop all week long.

  1. Lovely cards! I was about to see which embossing folder you had used for the stars when I read it is diecut + adhered 🙂 Such a cool idea! Thank you so much for sharing your cards with us 🙂

  2. Your cards are great. I really like the cheerful animals paired with the subtle (& gorgeous) background and the hooray die.

  3. Your cards look terrific, Teri! I love the new “Hooray” set combined with some of Neat and Tangled’s older releases, like the star dies. They look great together!

  4. Love the starry background! Might try same technique with an embossing folder. Love this release! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Cute cards! I love all the new critters, so adorable (even that snake!).
And always happy to see a sweet birdie in the mix.

  6. Fabulous cards!I love the hooray die …and the color combos and designs just complete the perfection!Love them all! 🙂

  7. Hi Teri ~ Your cards are absolutely adorable and you’ve used one of my favorite (formerly released) dies from N & T! I adore that Seeing Stars die and it’s often used on my cards. So thrilled to see these new goodies celebrating Neat & Tangled’s 5th birthday. Danielle has done it again!! (Even with that cute snake….not normally a lover of snakes but this little guy is actually very cute!!) ~HUGS~

  8. Wonderful use of these elements. I definitely can get what you are saying–who can stamp and color only one of these adorable critters? I can see stamping out a whole row of each … on a full size sheet of cardstock. They would be so much fun to take on the go to color. Thanks so much.

  9. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a snake in a party hat before, but I like it! These are great cards; thanks for sharing!

  10. Great way to do the background! I thought it was an embossing folder but love the idea of it being a die because it is so much easier to do even more things with it. Thanks for sharing.

  11. my new fav thing to do is use texture paste on backgrounds! I don’t think any of my cards have looked this pretty though *wink* I’ll just keep trying! besides, time well spent practicing & lots of my friends get happy mail!!
