Hi, guys!

I’ve got a different kind of post today for you. I’ve shared a couple cards and a tutorial on how to make some super easy but fun glitter flowers on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.

Here’s a peek at the projects you will see over there.

They were so fun to make, and it was nice to make a couple cards with a somewhat vintage twist!

Please check out the post for the scoop on how to make some flowers like I did. You’ll get quite a few tips to do it easily and quickly!

That’s it for now. I will be back later. Thanks for stopping on by!

Oink. Oink. Cluck. Birthday Card.

Hi, friends! Good to see you again. I’m back again to share another handmade card with you. Today’s card is a birthday card.

The good thing about online card challenges is even when they end, they are still out there to take inspiration from. I like to do that a lot… and not worry about the stress of linking up a project. So I was totally inspired by a closed challenge today to put this card together. The challenge? Last week’s “humor” / fun challenge from the Simon Says Stamp! Wednesday challenge.

The challenge totally inspired me to dig into my tub of my Simon stamps, which is actually a lot of older stamps. In it was this silly little Birthday Farm Animals set from Simon that I used for this card. I am almost certain, well, positive, it’s retired, but it’s still a darn cute stamp set that deserves to be inked up on occasion. 🙂

I have dies that go with the stamp. I noticed a couple of the dies totally had some matching up problems that I never realized before. (Trust me, I’ve had this set for a long time! I’m slapping my head over not realizing it before.) Still, I still used them to cut the goat and chicken but used my scissors to even things up. Hopefully, it’s not too obvious. It was a pretty easy fix and all…. and a whole lot easier than fussy cutting the whole image.

Going for the fun part of this challenge, I added wiggle eyes to a couple of the critters. I just wanted them to look super goofy! And I think I was successful there. Ha!

I also played with the sentiment stamps a little to add to the fun. I even used a sentiment inside the card that says, “Got Cupcake?” It made me chuckle at least.

Ok. That’s it for me. I hope you liked today’s card! I’ll be back later with another card. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge No. 84

Hi, everyone! I’m back with another card. Yet again, I’m sharing a card inspired by the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge (No. 84: Back to School).

So meet today’s card.

These Lawn Fawnatics challenges are addictive, particularly when you have a hefty stash of Lawn Fawn goods. Certainly a good reason to get into the stash and play!

I used a couple different stamp sets to make this card, So Owlsome and Holiday Party Animal. Kinda fun to just mix different critter stamps together and see what you end up with. That really what I did here.

I felt like the card was missing something so I added the little stars. I cut those with a die from the Stitched Journaling Card dies. Truly, I forgot I had the die set after not using it awhile. The challenge helped me rediscover it.

The paper is from the Really Rainbow paper pad. I love that pad so much that I bought it a few times. Just can’t go wrong with rainbows. Am I right or what?!

Alright, that’s it for me. Thanks for stopping by. And thanks to the Lawn Fawnatics crew for inspiring me to dig into my Lawn Fawn stash and play!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 83

Hi, friends!

I’m back again with another card. With that, meet today’s card… cha cha cha!

Today’s card was inspired by the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge (No. 83: Make the Sentiment the Star). I actually made it a few days ago and just got around to posting it. Forgive me. 🙂

I enjoyed making this card as it was a step out of my comfort zone. I recently added the Rawrsome stamps and dies to my line-up so it was my first time out using them for a project. A little extra pressure there!

I paired the “party” sentiment with a second sentiment from the Lovable Legends set. It’s just seemed… kinda… sorta… like a fun combination.

To add to the party scene of the little…. errr….. big… guys, I added a cupcake from Party Panda set. I can’t remember when Lawn Fawn released that little set, but it is one they offered during one’s birthday month with an order on their website. If you don’t subscribe to their newsletter, do. It’s a fun little offer to take advantage of. I buy most of my Lawn Fawn products from a local brick and mortar store, but it is sure fun to get a package once in awhile from Lawn Fawn HQ.

I also added the little swirly doohickey (how is that for description?!) and stars from the Toadally Awesome stamp set. Again, just trying to add to the party feel of this card.

Finally, I created the background with their Cloudy Stencil. I overinked a little but I didn’t think it was that bad and ran with it!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed checking out this card! Be sure to check out all the other cool cards linked up!

See you again, friends.
