Lawn Fawn Peek #4: Hello Friend (12/1)

Hi everyone!
I’m back with one more peek of something I made with one more of the new Lawn Fawn stamp sets.
So with that, meet today’s card.

The conversation bubble is from the new Hello Friend set from Lawn Fawn. It goes on sale at 12:01 a.m. EST on Dec. 2nd.
I like words. A whole stinkin’ lot, in fact. And I like this set because it’s all about words.
It’s made up of seven great friendly sentiments, all done in a super cute Lawn Fawn way. (Just ‘wait until you see the one with an airplane. It’s holy-smokin’-cute! For the record, I don’t use that phrase lightly.)
Besides the sentiment, I used the sun and cloud from Partly Cloudy and the hat from Hats Off to You on this card. I used just some of the twine from one of Lawn Fawn’s new Lawn Trimmings collections, which also go on sale on the 2nd.

Lawn Fawn Peek #3: Fly Free (11-29)

Hi all!
Another day. Another card.
Today, I am sharing something made with Lawn Fawn’s new Fly Free stamp set.

So, with that, meet today’s card. 🙂

Those super cute birds and words are from the set.
I was excited to see that the words work swell with Lawn Fawn’s Bannerific set.

I also again whipped out the Teeny Tiny Backdrops set to stamp up some kraft patterned paper. It’s a bit hard to tell but I used the same light blue marker I used on the birds to add a little color to the center of the open hearts.

Zva Creative November DT Blog Hop (11-29)

Hi everyone!

I’m joining my Zva Creative DT pals for a blog hop.

We have a NEW Zva Creative Design Team and we welcome you to join us this month for a blog hop that we feel is extra special!

There is now an added twist to our blog hops, YAY!  As you know, Zva offers so many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals.  We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project.  We anticipate that our hops will become even more breathtaking with such stunning products to showcase by concentrating on color.

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes’ blog. he will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, just follow along the blog path.  I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on FIVE of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package …YAY! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it’s important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, November 29th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, November 30th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 1st on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog as well (linked above). We will do our best to notify each winner, but it’s best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday…plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post…you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer’s blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Enough about the hop.

Meet today’s card and my blog hop card. 🙂

I was asked to work with olive or lime green so I used some of Zva’s green lines of crystals. I also added some olive green bulk flowers. Have you seen them in person yet? It’s crazy how real they look.

Your next stop on the hop is the blog of the talented and super, duper nice Debbie Olson. You can get to Debbie’s blog by clicking here.

That’s all for now.

Thank you SO MUCH for joining us, and thanks for stopping by my blog today. Be back again soon.

Lawn Fawn Peek #2: My Silly Valentine (11-28)

Hi everyone!
I’ve got a peek for you of My Silly Valentine, one of the new Lawn Fawn stamp sets that goes on sale later this week.

Meet today’s card.

The sweet socks and the words are from the set. Let me just say this sweet set makes my heart a whole lotta happy with a lot of happy face action. 🙂

I stamped the background with Lawn Fawn’s Teeny Tiny Backdrops. I tend to stamp a lot of polka dot backgrounds. This set has rapidly become my “Go-to-alternative” to polka dots.

Hi everyone!

It’s time again for another Lawn Fawn release. Woohoo!
And, today, the Fawny Girls are sharing projects made with the newest addition to the Lawn Fawn’s line up: LAWN TRIMMINGS!
So with that, meet today’s card.

And see all the ribbon and string? That is Lawn Trimmings, my friends. Fun stuff!
I also am giving out an extra peek today on this card of something else that is new from Lawn Fawn and will be revealed later in a few days. Hee hee. 😉

Today’s card (11-25)

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone in the States had a Happy Thankgiving!

I’m back with a card. 🙂

Meet today’s card.

This is kind of a peek of what is to come. You are going to see some of the elements on this card  a lot in the near future. 😉

That’s because I recently obtained Technique Tuesday’s December Daily set. It’s this cool stamp set designed to work putting together a December Daily scrapbook.

Rather than put together a scrapbook, I’m using the stamp set as a way to challenge and stretch myself. I’m trying to use it every day on a card for an entire month in some way, shape or form. 😉

Believe me, it’s hugely challenging. But I’m finding it crazy fun.

I’ll be sharing many of those cards in the coming days and weeks so just know what is coming down the pike. Don’t say you weren’t warned.  😉

Besides the December Daily set, I used TT’s Holiday Happenings set on this card. The pearls and Baker’s Twine are from my stash-a-roo.

I used the Scor-Pal to make the lines on the red cardstock panel.

That’s all for now. Be back again soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS. One more thing. Here’s a peek of a project I worked up with December’s Studio AE stamp set from Technique Tuesday. The new set will be revealed on the 1st on Technique Tuesday’s Web site.

Today’s card (11-22)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

This is a quick one I worked up the other day because I needed to send out a few quick Thanksgiving cards (Grandma, if you are looking at this, turn away… now.).

I used stamps from a few Lawn Fawn sets (Harvest Season and Hats Off to You). I used pens to color things in. Again, I’m not the best coloring in girl, but I tried. 😉 🙂

Everything else on the card is from my stash-a-roo.

That’s all for now.

Be back later.

Today’s not-a-card (11-18)

Hi all!

Meet today’s not-a-card project. 😉

I made a few of these little bento boxes this week.

They are teeny tiny boxes I found at a Daiso store. (6 for $1.50… quite a deal!) You could probably find similar ones at an Asian market.

I filled each one with a whole bunch of holiday candy.

The tag was stamped with words from the Good Cheer set by Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday. The polka dot paper is from Echo Park Paper. The ribbon and clips are from my stash.

That’s all for now.

Be back later.

Thanks for taking a bit of time out of your day to stop by.

Today’s card (11-16)

Hi all!

Meet today’s card.

I was inspired by a color challenge on one of the stamping boards. I didn’t have the exact colors so I used somewhat similar ones.

All the images and words are from The Journey That Matters set by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday. It’s the November Studio AE set.

What I dig about the set this time is it has all these border stamps. You get can kind of a distressed look with them by being all sloppy and not covering the whole thing with ink.

That’s all for now. Be back later.

Thanks for stopping by.

GCD Technique: Textured Fussy Cuts (11-14)

Hi everyone!

I’m excited to be back on the GCD Studios blog again today so I’m bringing it here, too.

This time, I’m sharing an easy way to give your patterned paper a little texture.

You need:

* A patterned paper with designs you can cut out. I’m using a piece from GCD’s Christmas Sleigh collection. It’s quickly become one of my favorite collections!

* A paint brush

* A clear textured gel (I’m using Glass Bead Gel from Golden Paints. It is clear and has teeny tiny marbles in it. )

Here’s what you do:

1. Start by cutting an image out of your patterned paper. A lot of paper crafters call this “fussy cutting.”

2. Use paint brush to apply gel medium to image.

3. Let image dry a few hours. You can speed this process up by heating it up with a heat gun.

I’ve got two cards for you where I used some of my textured fussy cuts.

I applied gel medium over both green ornaments here. Then, I applied it only to the flower petals on the red ornament.

Here, I applied the gel only to a portion of these ornaments.

I applied it to the petals and then partly onto the green ornaments. I like that it gives it just a little bit of a different look.

Thanks for stopping by.

I’ll be back again soon!
