PaperSmooches-BoxedGreetings-Teri

Ta-da! 🙂

I used the new Boxed Greetings stamp set on this bad boy, along with the coordinating dies. The words + the stars & circles are from the set.

I also (… sneaky me!…) used the tree die from the new Holiday Sweets dies to help build my wintery scene. The bird? She’s from the Feathered Friends set that is available now.

To build that wintery feel on the base of the card, I sponged blue ink onto it and then stamped some random dots with blue ink. I added a few die-cut stars and then drew a few white dots with a white pen too. I feel like they just added to the whole scene.

I sure like this card. I think I might recreate for a couple more holiday cards.

Alright! That’s what I got. I’ll be back again later, gators. Thanks, as always, for popping by! I appreciate your kind words so much!

Technique Tuesday + Simon Says Stamp! = Stampy Fun!

STAMPtember rectangle

Fun times, y’all! Really fun times!

My buddies at Technique Tuesday partnered up with my buddies at Simon Says Stamp! in offering a brand new stamp set. Debuting today is the new Sassy – You’re Not Normal (2.0) stamp set Simon Says Stamp!

This stamp set, designed by Technique Tuesday, is debuting today as part of Simon’s super fun STAMPtember festivities! It’s exclusive to Simon and is available for a limited time.

I know some folks on both sides of this deal. Yep. I do. And so I was lucky to get hooked up with an advance copy of the stamp set. (Thanks, guys!) So, yeah, I put together a couple cards to share with you.

Meet card no. 1.

The words (hahaha) and the pinwheel are from the STAMPtember stamp set. The little dotted line is actually from TT’s Felix the Frog stamp set. I’ve been using it a lot. Works with a lot of different images.

Meet card no. 2.

Speaking of Felix the Frog, here he is. I went full-on Felix here, pairing him with a pinwheel and a phrase from the STAMPtember set. Kinda fun, right? Well, I hope! 😉

And meet card no. 3.

This card here features just images and words from the STAMPtember set. As much as I am a mix and matcher when it comes to stamps, it sure is nice sometimes to just use images and words from one stamp set.

Alright. That’s all I have for you today. Be back again soon.

2017-fall-hop

Hi guys!

Back again with another card. Totally inspired again to play by the folks taking part in the Fall Coffee Lovers Hop! (Thanks, guys.)

So meet today’s card.

Coffee-And-Then-The-World-Handmade-Card-Teri-A-Technique-Tuesday

Just had fun here, again playing with a couple new stamp sets debuting at Technique Tuesday on Oct. 1st. All the images are from one set, and the words are from another. Both are coffee-themed. Yippee! 🙂

I wanted the cup to look like it had coffee in it so I only partly colored in the opening with a brown marker.  And then I wanted to create a somewhat happy scene so I randomly stamped the steam and hearts above it.

I had a lot of circle elements going on with my card so I went for “circle gold” so to speak and added a few sequins to my card. The more circles, the better. 😉

Alright. That’s what I have. If you haven’t had a chance yet to check out the hop, please do. There are so, so many inspiring cards! Way to go, everyone!

2017-fall-hop

Hi guys!

Got a little card to share with you today. Saw that the Fall Coffee Lovers Hop was happening and I couldn’t resist making a card.

So this is it. Meet today’s card.

Blood-Type-Coffee-Handmade-Card-Teri-A-Technique-Tuesday

Ta-da… cha cha cha! 🙂

This card is a sneak peek of sorts using a couple new stamp sets I designed for Technique Tuesday and will debut on their website in the New Products category on Oct. 1st. I cannot wait. Both are coffee-themed. As a girl who spent some of her formative years in Seattle (Coffee-capital of the world, you know…. wink!), I can’t begin to tell you how happy that makes me to make coffee-themed stamp sets. YAY!

A handmade card by Teri // terisplace.wordpress.com

The coffee cup and beans are from one set that feature a lot of coffee images (all hand drawn) and some phrases. The words are from the second set that has lots of phrases and a few coffee icons. The phrases in that one are super sassy. Like super duper sassy. Wait. I might have said too much. Maybe. Maybe not. 😉

I colored the coffee cup and beans in with good ol’ Copic markers. Rather than three markers, I used just two of each color tone (a light and dark) and then did a little bit of blending.

Alright, guys! That’s all I have. If you haven’t checked out the hop, do check it out. Lots of fun projects.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

Today’s card (9-12)

Hi guys!

Got another card to share with you today. This is one I made a bit back for Technique Tuesday with their new Echinacea stamp set and coordinating craft dies.

A handmade card by Teri for Technique Tuesday // terisplace.wordpress.com

I am far from a coloring expert, but there’s just something about the flowers in this set that really made me want to color. And so … I did. 😉

Can you believe it? I used markers and it looks… looks… alright! 🙂 Hooray!

The papers behind the doily are just some old patterned papers from my stash-a-roo. And the doily? Well, it’s a real life paper doily from the nearest Cash-n-Carry store! I folded it in half, added a lot of adhesive and then plopped a circle of patterned paper on top of it before adding the stamped flower.

Thank-You-Red-Flower-Handmade-Card-Close-Teri-A-Technique-Tuesday

I felt like the card needed a little something extra so I tossed on a couple sequins. Sequins. I’m a fan. They definitely are a hard habit to break.

Alright, guys! That’s all I have for now. Be back later, gators.

Today’s card (9-6)

Hi guys!

Another day. Another stop at the blog with another card-a-roo.

Friend-Animal-Herd-Teri

Ta-da!

Ok. So here’s the deal: I had so much fun a bit back playing with the Funny Farm Crew stamp set from Your Next Stamp that I felt like making another card with it. The little critters just slay me! So, so fun.

I stamped three critters, colored them in with markers and fussy cut them out with my scissors. Tedious and yet totally worth it! I love the look.

Friend-Animal-Herd-Close-Teri

I cut a card panel to fit on the front of my card and die-cut a circle out of it. Then I arranged the animals as you see! That blue behind the circle is ink I just sponged liberally onto the card base. For a little extra pop, I applied some Nuvo Crystal Drops (in white) along the circle’s edge. I like what it adds

The words are from a stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. They have such lovely sentiments.

Alrighty! No more to say today. I’ll be back again in a bit, friends. See you soon. Thanks, as always, for stopping by.

Today’s cards (9-5)

STAMPtember rectangle

Hi guys!

It’s STAMPtember time over at Simon Says Stamp! Once again, they’ve turned September into a stamp-tastic celebration of all things stampy by releasing all kinds of stamps and partnering up with several manufacturers to release even more stamps.

I was tickled as could be to find an envelope in my mailbox a bit back from my pals at SSS with the new Artsy Shapes set, a stamp set they just released for STAMPtember.  (Thanks, Heidi!)

Couldn’t resist making a couple cards with the set.

Meet No. 1, and meet No. 2.

SSS-BeKind-TeriSSS-BeYourself-Teri

These were pretty simple to make! I cut panels of watercolor paper out to fit onto a standard size card and then stamped several of the shapes from the set with Staz-on (waterproof ink) onto watercolor cardstock. Then I just colored them in with watercolors.

I also stamped a phrase onto each panel with Simon’s recently released Encouraging Words stamp set. The typography goes nicely, I think, with the Artsy Shapes set.

Anyhoo, that’s all I’ve got in me today! Be back later, gators.
