Halloween Card Challenge

Hi guys!

Me again. You are shocked, right? 😉 Got one last entry into the Halloween Card Challenge with Ashley, seeing that Halloween is tomorrow and all.

Rather than being stampy, I went just plain old paper crafty today by whipping out some paper from Bella Blvd. The bright colors of Bella? Yeah. I’m so there.

I embellished the little spider guy (cut one from big old piece of 12 x 12 paper) by adding a couple wiggle eyes and the twine. And then I added some enamel dots and the little enamel heart sticker under the spider. Just kind of a fun thing to do.

Pretty simple but effective in the cute department.

Alrighty! That’s what I have today. Be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog-a-roo to see her take on the challenge. A3030nd we’ll be back at the challenge game again next week too so come back for that too. I’d be… like… sad and stuff if you didn’t. 😉

Ta-da!

Used a couple new products on this guy. The words, dots and hearts are all stamps from the new Be Merry stamp set. It’s a good all around holiday stamp set. I don’t know about you but any set that features lots of words is always welcome at my craft table! And this stamp set? It’s got LOTS of great words.

Now that rad tree? Cut that with the new Triangle Tree die. Ooh la la! I feel like I haven’t begun to scratch the surface with it. Can’t wait to use it on some more projects.

Alrighty! That’s what I have today. I’ll be back later. Thanks for stopping by guys! Always a treat when you do.

Halloween Card Challenge

Hi all!

Another day. Another crack at the Halloween Card Challenge with my pal, Ashley.

Just having some fun this time by mixing together some different products I had on hand. The words and stars are from the Frightfully Fun Halloween stamp set from My Favorite Things, while the cute critter and accessories are from the Meowlloween set from Mama Elephant.

I wanted to do something I haven’t done in awhile so I stamped the images on kraft cardstock and then colored them in with colored pencils. Once I did that, I whipped out my old friend, Gamsol, to blend the colors together.

I also used some black and white Nuvo Crystal Drops to do a little embellishing. Love that stuff because it looks like enamel dots, only it’s not. Love that.

Alright, that is what I have. Be sure to swing by Ashley’s blog to see what’s she has for you today. And I’ll be back again soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Card Challenge

Hi kids!

Another day of Halloween Card Challenge fun with Ashley. If you are just tuning in, we’ve been challenging each other to make a card a week… FOR FUN! Yeah, fun!

This week’s card is … well… this week’s card.

Made this guy with a small Tim Holtz Halloween stamp set I picked at Michaels the other day on impulse (not going to sugar coat it) for a whopping $5 on sale. Woot. Not my norm with style these days, but sometimes you gotta mix it up. You get me? 😉

I misplaced my Old Paper Distress ink and was too dang lazy to look for it so I used a light khaki ink to stamp the pumpkin once onto watercolor paper. I grabbed my trusty Clean Color pens and added some color. Spread the color with water so… you know… I seem all artsy like. I let the color dry and then stamped on top with a nice coat of black ink.

You know, I think it turned out OK. Oh, you might be wondering about that patterned paper behind it? It’s from My Favorite Things. They have a kick booty selection of 6×6 paper pads. You should check it out.

Alright. That’s what I have for you.

Be sure to stop by Ashley’s blog to see her take on the challenge today.
