Giveaway: You’ve Got Mail from Studio Calico

SC_GotMail_500x500(1)

Hi all !

The good folks from Studio Calico just announced their newest class, “You’ve Got Mail! with Lisa Spangler.” (Yay, a card making class! And double yay! A Lisa class!)

And, guess what? I get to give one of you a slot in it. Woo-to-the-hoo! 🙂

But, first, here’s some info from Studio Calico about the class:

Join Lisa Spangler and her talented contributors for a month of cardmaking tips, techniques and inspiration. Lisa has been teaching and sharing her love of cardmaking for years, and we’re thrilled to have her enthusiasm in the Calico Classroom. She’s joined by a cardmaking dream team of contributors – Jennifer McGuire, Maile Belles, Shari Carroll, Teri Anderson, Robyn Werlich, Kelly Rasmussen, Dawn McVey, Tami Hartley, Kandis Smith, Julie Ebersole, Dani Flanders & Betsy Veldman. Whether you’re ready to try making your first card or a frequent crafter of handmade greetings, You’ve Got Mail will give you tips and tricks that you can turn to over and over.

While supplies last, students will receive a 4″ x 6″ clear stamp set. The stamps will ship free to you, no matter where you are. (They will update the class info page when it’s no longer available.)

Students will also receive printable accents and labels from Hello Forever, a digital brush set of the class stamps, and window card, tag and accent cuts from Kinsey Wilson. These will be available in the classroom on March 1st.

Syllabus :

  • March 1st : Lisa Spangler’s tips & tricks.
(mailing bulky cards, shaped cards, one layer cards, getting organized/storage)
  • Week 1 – March 4th : Birthday (kids, masculine/feminine, invites)
  • Week 2 – March 11th : Everyday Greeting (just a note, hello, get well soon, thinking of you)
  • Week 3 – March 18th : Special Occasions (anniversary, weddings, babies, congrats)
  • Week 4 – March 25th : Beyond the Card (envelopes, tags, gift card holders)

Sounds pretty fun, right?

Well, let’s get on with that giveaway then. Tell me by midnight on Feb. 8th if you are a card maker, scrapbooker or a little of both. I’ll pick one of you at random (or my trusty assistant… my neighbor… ha!… will) to win the slot!

Good luck!

  1. I am a cardmaker and have challenged myself this year to make a card for each day that has special meaning – the list is endless like Love Your Vet Day – and means a whole lot of cards! Thank you for the chance to win a seat in this class!

  2. I am a cardmaker and a scrapbooker. I love all papercrafts. Thanks for the chance to win such a great prize.

  3. I am primarily a scrapbooker who started to make more cards because I had all the supplies! I love the stamp set for this class and would love to learn more to make my cardmaking quick and easy so that I can get more scrapping done! Thanks for the chance to win a spot!

  4. I started out as a scrapbooker, then eventually ventured into making cards, too. Now I do both! My cards are made for my own use and then I make qutie a few for Operation Write Home (for our overseas military to use to keep in touch with their friends and family back home).

  5. I am a card crafter and a slowly-but-surely, borderline wanna be scrapbooker. Hee! I’m sure I would enoy the class and learn a lot. Thanks for the opportunity to win, Teri. 🙂

  6. Good morning! I am much more of a card maker than a scrapper. I love making cards, altho I tend to over think things and make it more complicated that I need to! lol. I think I need this class! Thanks so much for the chance to win.

  7. I love crafts all together, though firstly feel I’m a cardmaker! (Though I do have deep down intentions of learning more with scrapbooking too! :)) This sounds like a wonderful class and I appreciate the chance to win!!! 🙂

  8. I am a scrapbooker that dabbles in card making. Got all the supplies, so why not! 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. Sounds like a wonderful class! I was a scrapbooker first, but do both now. I find my ration is about 3:1 cards to layouts

  10. I would love this class. I’m a card maker who is beginning an adventure
into scrapbooking. Thanks for the chance to win.

  11. I do both. With 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren I’m always making lots of cards are scrapbooks for all of them. I would love to win this class.

  12. I started as a cardmaker, almost 20 years ago. Then I moved to scrapbooking, completely forgetting cardmaking. Now it’s a little (of a lot) of both. Thanks for giving us the chance to win!

  13. This just looks like such an amazing class! I’d say I’m both, but lately less of a traditional scrapper, more along the lines of a PLer. Thank you for the chance to win a spot!!

  14. I don’t currently make cards so it would be really fun to take this class! Thanks so much for the chance to win a spot!

  15. Hi Teri, wow this is very exciting. I have been a card maker for many years now. I am always on the lookout for something new to try and Lisa’s class sounds like just the thing. Fingers crossed and thank you for the chance to win. Luv Sandie

  16. So many great designers together! the stamps look awesome! what can go wrong with this? lol thanks so much for the giveaway! I have my fingers crossed for this 🙂

  17. So excited about this class – such an awesome list of contributors. I am totally 100% a card-maker. I toy with the idea of being a scrap-booker, I like the idea of it, but I never seem to take photos of anything!

  18. Well… I used to be a scrapbooker and I still scrapbook in my head… but I’m a card maker. I love giving them and the smaller scale is just fun. Also more opportunities to play with other things like baby cards and graduation cards since I’m not having babies or graduating anything but I can give them to those who are! 😉 I also donate cards to Operation Write Home so that these many cards can find some homes of their own!

  19. That sounds like a cool class! I started scrap booking in May of last year as time permits and I’ve made a couple of cards. I’d like to explore the card making aspect more since I had so much fun creating and sending them. Thanks for the chance to win.

  20. For the longest time I was purely scrapbooking … but 2 years ago I got onto the card train (way beyond obsession!) and primarily do cards, although I scrapbook now and again.

  21. What a wonderful opportunity you’re sharing, especially for a newcomer – like me – to card-making. I’ve been creating cards for about 5 months now and I’m full on addicted!! Love it! Thank you for the give-away.

  22. I do both!!! I love to scrapbook but don’t do it as much as I’d like. Card making is my “quick fix” and serves a double purpose! I so want to try a class and these gals ARE fantastic!! BTW….I’m free all of March so I have time to take the class too!! ; )

  23. I need to get back into cardmaking and this will get my mojo going again! Thanks for the chance to win!

  24. Congrats, Teri, on being one of the awesome teachers for this fabulous class! The agenda sounds just exactly like what I need to get out of my cardmaking rut by learning new tips, techniques & inspiration. Thanks for the chance to win a spot in class!

  25. This looks like a great class! Thank you so much for the opportunity.
I started making cards years ago…got away from it for awhile and did scrapbooking..but now back to the cardmaking and loving it!!!

  26. This class looks like so much fun, Lisa’s assembled such a stellar group! I am mostly a card-maker but I’m dabbling more and more in scrapbooking lately (I have an adorable grandson who’s very photogenic!)

  27. I am a card maker. A neighbor invited me to a class back in 1997. I have been addicted ever since with little chance of recovery.

  28. The instructors for this class are amazing! All my favorites. Thanks for the chance. Lots of card making (quicker projects to complete for me ;D and some scrapbooking, more desire if it would just make itself out of what I “dream” up! God bless!

  29. What a fun group of super talented ladies leading this class! I started out scrapbooking, now do mostly cards. I do have stacks of pictures to scrapbook though– Thanks for the chance to win

  30. I would be thrilled to win a spot. I’m a card maker and a fairly newbie stamper and currently enrolled in the CAS2 class and loving it to bits! Thanks for a chance to win a spot in Lisa’s/Studio Calico’s class. Just finished watching one of Lisa’s video tutorials. Very inspirational!

  31. I do both and enjoy them. They bring different sense of satisfaction. Would so love to win a spot in this class. Thanks for the chance.
