Hi everyone!
Well, we meet again! 🙂
How is your day going? Hope it is swell.
Today, I’m partnering up with the Go-to Gals today for our monthly Go-to challenge. This time, we are challenging each other to create something with the new and yumm-a-licous Nordic Holiday stamps from Hero Arts and Basicgrey.
I am pretty dang fond of both of Basicgrey and Hero Arts. Both make high quality, well-designed products. I’m always excited when they come out with a new release. And so seeing them come out together makes things so much more exciting.
Enough talk. Let’s get on with the project.
Meet today’s card!
I used the snowflakes from Smiling Snowman stamp set to do the stamping on the hexagons.
It’s hard to tell, but there is stamping on the solid green ones.
Here’s how I made them:
1. I scribbled all over the large snowflake on the tag stamp in the Smiling Snowman set with a green Copic marker.
2. I spritzed the stamp with Copic Blending solution. (If you try this at home, hold the bottle far away from the stamp when you spray rather than close so you just mist the stamp with solution rather than drown it.)
3. I set my paper on top of it and let it suck up ink.
When finished, I flipped it over, let it dry and then attached it to my card.
I used the same technique with another snowflake from the set to make the green snowflakes on the white circles.
I cheated a little to make the sentiment. The joy stamp comes from the Happy Holidays stamp set (also from the Nordic Collection stamp collection from Hero Arts and Basicgrey). The wishing you is from Essential Messages, another Hero Arts set.
The stamp started big like this.
Then, I wrapped it around my block, allowing only the “wishing you” part to be inked and stamped.
Easy peasy. And fun.
Want to win a Smiling Snowman stamp set from Hero Arts and Basicgrey (as well was a copy of Holiday Cards and More, Vol. 6 from Paper Crafts magazine)?
I know people (really good people), you know. 😉
Leave a comment on this post by 5 p.m. (MDT) on Thursday, Sept. 29th.
Be sure to check the blogs Windy, Julie, Jennifer, Betsy and Kim to see what they’ve worked up with these fun stamps and for the opportunity to win Nordic Holiday stamps on their blogs, too!
See you again soon!
