Created this little guy with Prickly Plants stamp set from the For the Love of Stamps collection by Hunkydory.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the For the Love of Stamps line, I totally encourage you to check it out. Lots of different designs. All clear (top quality clear stamps) and a great price.

The Prickly Plants set stole my heart. Cacti are so fun… and trendy right now…. when it comes to cards.

To make the card,  I stamped the cactus plants on watercolor paper with Staz-on ink. Then I went to town with watercolors. I dropped some salt onto the paint while it was drying to add a little extra texture. I also whipped out a really old bottle of Liquid Applique and added the dots to the one vase and warmed them up with my heat gun.

When everything was dry, I added the sentiment, a die-cut heart (with glitter glue on it), part of a doily and patterned paper strips and plopped the panel onto a card. I think it turned out pretty fun.

  13. Super cute card and you reminded me I have liquid appliqué sitting around waiting to be used as well. . . Lol! Love the watercolor background you created, really makes the stamps pop.
