May Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Yep! It’s a good day for another Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday!

The crew is playing around this month with Heartfelt by Ali Edwards, the Studio AE stamp set for May.

Technique-Tuesday-Heartfelt-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-MediumI decided to go the card route this month. Ali’s stamps are so graphic that I really wanted to challenge myself this month and try to go with a more homespun, shabby look.

I took the same “heart” you stamp and stamped it over and over on different pieces of paper. Then I cut, cut and cut some more.

I also over-stamped on some of the pieces of paper some words from her All My Love set on top. (Check out those cream hearts. You can see it there.)

I also added a few homespun touches: some stitches; some gems and a bit of twine. Again, just to kinda play on the shabby, homespun side.

Pretty fun!

Be sure to check out everyone taking part in the hop today:

(Please beware that our team is in different time zones, so someone might not have their links up yet today. Sometimes, it gets a little confusing with the timing.)

We’ll give away a prize to one person who comments during the hop!

Someone will get a $25 gift certificate. The winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Very cute card! I really like how you repeated the stamp but did something a bit different with each one.

  2. Cool, creative card! Like the stamps on printed papers and your sketch. For some unknown reason, the frames make me think of an artsy comic strip look. … and that’s a good thing! 🙂
