August Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

Hi all!

Woohoo! Time for another Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday!

We are sharing projects this month with the newest Studio AE set, called Leaving on a Jet Plane by Ali Edwards.

Technique-Tuesday-Leaving-On-A-Jetplane-Clear-Stamps-MediumI decided to make a scrapbook page with it! I love the adventure of traveling so it was really perfect for it.

2_YouAreHere_teri_edited-1All the words on the cork panel (which is just a piece of patterned paper and not real cork) were stamped with the set.

I also  pulled out my Travel With Flair by Ali stamp set and stamped it out a few times on cardstock. I then took a 1″ circle punch to them out. (By the way, if you are new to Technique Tuesday, you might not know that they standardized their circle stamps with their Winter release so when you see them release a “Flair” set — whether it be designed by Ali or me, Bev or Lori – it’s sized to work with a 1″ circle punch.)

So that’s all I have. 🙂

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s hop:

And don’t forget to comment as you go. Technique Tuesday will randomly pick someone who leaves a comment (chosen from comments left on all the blogs) to win a $25 gift certificate! The winner will be announced on the Technique Tuesday blog on the 15th.

  1. COOL page! Like the way you used the stamps and all the different “sections” of your layout. I agree w/Cindy in that the angles are fun and make the eye “seek” to see it all! 🙂

  2. I really like how you used a lot of the stamps in one area – to tell the story. Great job. Thanks for the opportunity to win this very versatile stamp set. I could definitely use this set.

  3. This is fantastic! I love the geometry of this layout, so many fun angles and great use of the stamps!

  4. I like your layout, reminds me of flying over the states. I really like the flair and I’m tempted to buy it, but maybe I’ll get the digital version if there is one. Thanks

  5. Great page, Teri! Love the angle on those papers, and those stamped phrases complement your layout perfectly. (I enjoy the “unknown” part of travel, too!)

  6. Love the use of the elements on your page. Also great tip about the stamps all working with the same size punch.

  7. Awesome page! Great way to use the stamps. I like different banners and journal cards. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Oh it’s good to know that all the flair sets are standardized now. Yes! This LO looks like so much fun!

  9. Wow, this layout is awesome!! Love the angle with the photo context. Cool imitation of patchwork seen from the sky. Always love your layouts! Thanks for sharing.

  10. Love the words on cork patterned paper (that is so cool by the way) . I did not know all the circles coordinate with the 1 inch punch…thanks for the tip! Great layout.

  11. Looks like a fun layout. I’d like to see the whole thing. It took me a while to realize it wasn’t my puny iphone screen — I couldn’t see the whole layout because it wasn’t posted LOL

  12. Stunning layout! You’ve showcased the new stamp set wonderfully, and captured some amazing moments to be treasured!
