MFT Countdown: 5

Hey all!

It’s that time again! Yep. Time again for another (totally awesome) product release from My Favorite Things. And the countdown starts today! Woot!

NewReleaseCountdown_Day5

So want a taste of the new stuff? Because… you know… I’ve got your back! 😉

Got a couple cards to share today that I whipped up with the new stuff so…. let’s do this! Yeah!

Please meet card #1.

So this card uses the new Blueprints 24 Die-namics. Every single die-cut element on it was cut with Blueprints 24.  I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. The Blueprints Die-namics are some of my favorites because you get a lot of dies in one set. MFT also puts together a free tip sheet for each set that you can use to get you designing with the dies. I love that because it gets you right into the design space!

I used the MFT’s tips partly to make this card and then did a bit of my own thing, doing the positioning of the elements a little different and then stacking several banners up to create that border.

You’ll notice the pattern on the pink cardstock. Yep! It’s a peek at another new product from the April release. I used the Weave stencil to add that to the panel. I just sent the stencil onto the panel and then sponged ink over the open spaces.

Can you handle another card? Hope so because here is card #2.

You're the Sweetest by Teri

I once again brought out Blueprints 24 add the Weave stencil. I also brought out the new You’re the Sweetest stamp set and Sweet Treat Die-namics. Yep. I totally made that cute cupcake with the Sweet Treats Die-namics. I have a feeling you are going to see those surface a few more times over the next few days! (Wink!)

One thing I did to make the cupcake stand out more is I adhered that panel to my card with foam tape. Also, to make the file tab, I die-cut it twice. And then I cut the pink tab in half, adhering it to the orange tab. I think the two-toned look is just fun!

So that’s what I have for you today. Here’s a list of MFT products I used to make these cards:

And be sure to check out the MFT blog to see who else from the design team is sharing projects today. (Confession: I might have snuck a peek. You won’t be disappointed… just sayin‘!)

  1. Love the color combinations on your card. The Blueprint 24 will be the top on my wish list along with the weave stencil. Awesome cards!

  2. Well, sister… you have used the brightest colors here, which totally wake me up this morning. Gorgeous, both… but must say that is the best cupcake die I’ve ever seen. Might have to take a bite of this release… OH… totally gave you cred for my little shopping spree at Technique Tuesday yesterday!! You’re ‘lookin’ at the newest Greenhouse girl!
